I am a lifelong PE Teacher with wide ranging experience across all ages 3-23 and mainstream, independent and special needs education. Over the last twenty years I have developed a specialised knowledge of disability sport and inclusive PE, and become a tutor of many courses as well as a Senior Teacher, Head of PE, and Director of Specialism in the Physical and Sensory strand.
Since 2014 I have been a self-employed Disability Sport & PE Consultant and last year I became the National Lead Tutor for Primary PE CPD with SportWorks. I write bespoke courses as well as delivering them on behalf of national organisations such as SportscoachUK, Youth Sport Trust, English Federation of Disability Sport and Boccia England.
I have also volunteered for twenty years in the Paralympic sport of Boccia, and this led to the wonderful opportunity of being the Boccia Competition Manager at the London2012 Paralympic Games. I have also been the Team Manager and Head Coach for the England Boccia Squad, and sat on the International Governing Body for six years. I am currently coaching a young player who has just been selected for England and is aiming for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics.
I am passionate about inclusion and love being able to share my knowledge so that a greater number of people with disabilities can access a wider range of sports and activities.
In my spare time I like to play golf, having just got my handicap earlier this year.
